Traditional Knowledge, Genetic Resources and Cultural Expressions, inter-governmental meeting feb 4-8, wipo, geneva: how do we create a mutuality of interest amiong developing and developed countries so that there are incentives for those who conserve resources and associated knowledge to continue to do so. can we conserve by keeping people poor, as has been the case so far? if not, where is the urgency for generating and sharing benefits with local communities and tribal groups? i hope that we all realise this this knowledge is going to become even more crucial for coping with climate change impacts.
