HB17(1 & 2 )Satpal chabra_2006 (1)welcome beginning, i only wish that this quest will build upon 25 year old quest #honey #bee #network pioneered through #shodhyatras, shodh sankals, survey of innovations through summer search through young students, patent reviews etc., Later National innovation Foundation Chaired by Dr R A Mashelkar has given a much wider platform to such nascent ideas.  The www.techpedia.in by SRISTI has pooled 2 lac ideas of technology studnets form all over the ocuntry. it is the largest database of its kind anywhere in teh world. So also the NIF’s database is unique in its coverage of 550 districts of india. The way bank of Ideas and Innovations was started by Ministry of Rural development based on the advice of consultants of world bank and other aid agencies, i wasn’t very hopeful. But then wisdom can prevail.

Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme ( MGNRES) is the world largest De-skilling program of the world. Never before so many millions highly skilled, sculptors, masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, biodiversity experts traditional healers, musicians, songwriters and artists were asked to dig earth and break stones to earn their livelihood. even now, they are only seeing the people as labourer-menial workers, and NOT as mental or heart workers, what a pity, conceptual crimes of UPA government are being perpetuated by BJP government uninhibitedly… ah!, but how long, one day the creative communities of the the country will rebel against this injustice
