it has been causing me considerable concern that as India seems to be rising economically, its capacity to take a longer term look at its present and future  is going down. Is it inevitable that when we see far, we alienate those who wish to live in only present. Is that a coping strategy of the middle class aspirants seeking good life to escape guilt. What is the core of this bafflement?

my feeling is that since long trm dreams or visions cast a cloud of responsiobility on the sky of such people, they prefer to avoid the rain of ideas.
