conserving agro biodiversity but not throughbig markets

Sharing

went to vegetable market in Adis Ababa and noticed that vendors on the street had very diverse aromatic and other spice plants, while the shops had uniform, mono-cultured tomatoes, onions, brinjal etc., Big markets behave the same way everywhere, no diversity, no concern for future

why cant all friends who read my comments or blog ( sristi.org/anilg) survey nearby vegetable markets and reportw ith photos the status of biodiversity, number of less known, uncultivated vegetables, fruits and spices etc., they can find with assciated knowledge, source, prices etc., vis a vis the status of diversity in big malls, shops and even carts. look forward to receive posts on it,
