Immediately an estmiate must be made of species wise trees uprooted through crowd sourcing survey using mobile and other means. A mission should be mounted to unleash an entrepreneurial revolution in Odisha to use this wood for various kind of economic, social and cultural applications such as biomass energy generation( see dahiya’s technology at nifindia.org), wood extracts for medicinal uses, industrial applications, furniture, replanting in schools, and tannins and dye extraction, etc.,

It will be a pity if contractors may hay while local community suffer. we need to generate jobs to help people’s rehabilitation and these trees in Uttrakhand as well as Orissa could be put to high end use. any more ideas
